Model-RTD is a data acquisition system used to acquire the remote data from various sensors spread across through an RTU.  RTU system is based on COTS architecture and the no channels can be scaled in multiples of 48 or 96 channels. User defined channel configuration can also be provided. The system has been deployed at a research laboratory to measure the temperatures of various freezers in which the specimen of the research labs are placed, which demand on optimal temperature to be maintained and constant monitoring of the temperature is being done to avoid any change in temperature which remains unnoticed and specimen gets damaged.
